Students from Morecambe Bay Academy have raised an impressive £650 for two vital local charities,

Enthusiastic Year 10 pupils braved a cold December day to help raise funds for Citizens Advice North Lancashire and Morecambe Bay Foodbank by selling Morecambe Bay 2026 calendars.

The calendars feature 12 stunning photographs of the Morecambe Bay area taken by staff and volunteers from both charities.

All the proceeds are going directly to support local people during the cost-of-living crisis and harsh winter months.

"I couldn't be prouder of our students," said Mrs Michelle Stephens, Head of Year 10 at Morecambe Bay Academy.

"They were absolutely brilliant - wearing Christmas hats, singing, and showing real natural talent for sales!

"Their enthusiasm was infectious, and they genuinely wanted to make a difference in their community."
