Police have ordered a large group of youths to leave the town centre after reports of anti-social behaviour in Morecambe.
Officers put a Section 34 Dispersal Order in place after incidents involving a group of up to 25 youths on the evening of January 2.
The order - which enables police to direct people to leave a specified area, prevent them returning for a set period and arrest anyone who fails to comply - was in place until 3am on January 3.
PC Katie Foster of Morecambe Area Police, posting on social media, said:
"Where are your children?
"As a parent do you know where they are when they go out?
"Last night (January 2) we responded to incidents in Morecambe town centre involving a group of up to 25 youths.
"Business owners, visitors and children to the area should not have to be subjected to witnessing these youths causing nuisance and being abusive.
"A Section 34 Dispersal Order was put in place until 3am this morning in order to disperse these youths.
"A large number were directed to leave the area and not return within this time.
"We are reviewing the images we have of these youths so they can expect a knock on the door for some advice about their behaviour.
"We would also ask parents to have a conversation with their children around their behaviour when they are out with their friends."
