Troy Gallagher won his second professional fight with a convincing victory over experienced Harry Matthews.
Gallagher, from Heysham, won 40-36 on the referee's scorecard in front of a noisy crowd of supporters who'd travelled to watch him at the Bolton Stadium Hotel on Saturday.
Matthews is a tough and seasoned fighter, who'd mixed in top company during his long career which began with a fight against Chris Eubank Jnr.
But Gallagher always stayed in control, boxing patiently behind his long left jab, before putting solid combinations together to head and body.
Afterwards, Troy told VIP Boxing: "I feel good. Maybe I could have done a bit more. I feel like I could have done so many things better.
"Boxing improves my life in so many ways. The whole process of building up to fight, and getting out of my comfort zone, it's good for me.

Gallagher also thanked his trainer 'Stone Hands' Bob Howard from Heysham, who was in his corner.
"It's good to have someone you can trust and rely on, and who's going to look after you," he said.
"I want to stay active, I just want to box as much as I can, and stay in the gym."

Troy trains with Bob at the Coastal Amateur Boxing Club in Morecambe.
He won his debut fight in November, beating Victor Edagha.
