Midfielder Paul Lewis has signed a new one-year contract with Morecambe FC, keeping him at the Bay Stadium for the 2026/27 season.
Lewis becomes the eleventh player to either join or agree a new deal as Adam Lakeland continues to prepare for the upcoming National League North campaign, beginning on August 8.
Since arriving at the club in the summer of 2024, the 31-year-old has made 65 appearances for the Shrimps in all competitions, scoring once.
Manager Adam Lakeland said: “I’m delighted that Paul has extended his stay with us. He is vastly experienced and has attributes which I feel will be important for us moving forward.
“He is a good professional who will help set and maintain standards day-to-day and I look forward to working with him.”
Speaking after signing his new deal, Lewis added: “I’m delighted to be staying at Morecambe for another year. It was an easy decision for me because I believe in what we’re building here and I’m excited for what lies ahead this season.
‘’I’m really looking forward to work with the gaffer and assistant manager Sam. The ambitions they have for the club and the direction we’re heading in were a big factor in my decision to stay.”
