Morecambe manager Adam Lakeland has completed his tenth new signing of the summer.
Winger Isaac Buckley-Ricketts joins the Shrimps on a one-year deal with an option of an added year ahead of the 2026/27 National League North campaign.
A product of Manchester City’s renowned academy, Buckley-Ricketts represented England at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 level, winning the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in 2017 before gaining experience during spells with Dutch side FC Twente, and in the EFL with Oxford United and Peterborough United.
The 28-year-old has more than 150 appearances under his belt at National League North level, including spells at Southport, Warrington Town, Curzon Ashton and, most recently, Macclesfield.
Buckley-Ricketts also famously scored for Macclesfield in the Silkmen’s FA Cup third round victory over Premier League side Crystal Palace in front of the TV cameras last season.
Manager Adam Lakeland said: "I'm delighted that Isaac has joined us at Morecambe. He is a player who I have seen get to a very high level of performance, particularly during his time in this league at Curzon Ashton, where on his day, he was a real thorn in the oppositions side.”
"He has good pace, he relishes one v one duals, especially when playing on the sides, he can create and score goals and is able to operate off the flanks or through the middle, complementing the other strong attacking options we have.”
“He is another good lad joining the group, who I believe will get back to his best in our environment and I look forward to working with him."
Speaking after completing his move to the Shrimps, Buckley-Ricketts said: “He spoke about the project at the club and I was onside with it. He wants to push hard next season.”
“As a winger, you have to create, you’re not going to win the game without scoring. I want to provide where I can and keep defenders guessing.”
