Morecambe have completed the permanent signing of vastly experienced defender Liam Hogan.
The 37-year-old centre-back joins on an 18-month deal following his departure from fellow National League side, Rochdale.
Morecambe Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Liam Hogan on an 18-month contract from Rochdale AFC.
With a professional career of over 15 years, Hogan brings with him a wealth of experience across the EFL and National League to the Shrimps.
The defender has 465 appearances to his name with clubs like Salford City, Stockport County, Oldham Athletic and most recently Rochdale on his CV.
The 37-year-old captained Salford City to two promotions, making history with his second as it was the Ammies' first promotion to the English Football League.
Speaking on the newest addition to the squad, Jim Bentley said: "Liam is a fantastic professional, who has had a really strong career. He has played all around the North West. He knows the level."
"When I have spoken to people, they've said he's got a really good way about him. Good professionalism, all the type of things we want at the football club moving forward.
‘’I've tried to sign him before, so I'm really pleased to have him on board."
Hogan will wear the number 16 shirt and will be available for selection subject to FA and League approval.
