Morecambe Football Club’s First Team and Senior Professional Development Coach David Fitzgerald has left his role.
The club say he’s left due to the restructuring of new Manager Derek Adams’ technical football staff.
In a statement, the club said: ‘’We’d like to thank David for his efforts during his time at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium and wish him well in his future endeavours.’’
Fitzgerald joined the Shrimps in January, after spending 11 years at Accrington Stanley across two different spells, and time on the coaching staff at Bury, filling the void in the backroom staff created when Ged Brannan stepped up to the manager's role, following the departure of Derek Adams to Ross County in October 2023.
