Declan Wakeman reached the final of the England Boxing National Development Championships, losing out on a controversial split decision on Sunday.
Declan, who trains at the Coastal Amateur Boxing Club in the West End of Morecambe, beat the Yorkshire champion and Merseyside/Cheshire champion on his way to the final.
He then lost narrowly to Southern Area Champion Harvey Griffiths.
Coastal boxing club is based in the Red Rose Community Centre on West End Road in Morecambe, and is run by ex-professional boxer Frank Harrington.
