Lancaster Arts presents world class music, dance and art in November

World class musicians, artists and dancers will be part of the Lancaster Arts series of live events in November.

The month's programme starts tonight (November 3) in the shape of guitarist Justin Adams and violinist Mauro Durante, performing their award-winning album 'Still Moving' live in the Nuffield Theatre at Lancaster University.

This weekend you can enjoy Anne Bennett's stunning Light Up Lancaster installation 'Butterfly Dream: Making the Invisible Visible' in St. John the Evangelists' Church, which forms part of the Lancaster Arts Mill Race cultural programme. 

Contralto star and native Cumbrian, Jess Dandy, will be accompanied by conductor and pianist Gary Matthewman in the Great Hall at the university on Thursday December 10, and Chris Singleton's spoken-word comedy 'How to be a Better Human' comes to the Nuffield Theatre on Tuesday November 15.

On Thursday November 17, Bobby Baker will be in town for a post-show discussion, following a live screening of her acclaimed work 'Drawing on a (Grand) Mother's Experience'.

There are theatrical performances from Avital Raz and Will Dickie too, plus dance from the renowned Van Huynh Company and the exhibition 'A Matter of Age?' opening in the Peter Scott Gallery at the university next week.

And Eva Recacha’s stunning dance piece ‘Because I Can’ with performer, Lauren Potter, is taking place in the Nuffield Theatre on November 8.
