A £35,000 appeal has been launched to transform the outdoor space on the Children's Ward at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.

Runners will pick up the baton to take on a 30 hour day and night relay on Morecambe Promenade for a very good cause.

Residents are counting the cost after torrential rain led to widespread flooding across the District.
