Bin collections in the Lancaster and Morecambe District will not take place as scheduled on Monday (September 19) due to the Queen's funeral.
All collections next week will take place a day later than usual, as follows:
Monday 19th now Tuesday 20th
Tuesday 20th now Wednesday 21st
Wednesday 21st now Thursday 22nd
Thursday 22nd now Friday 23rd
Friday 23rd now Saturday 24th
Lancaster City Council also said the bank holiday would affect the opening of some council buildings.
The Customer Service Centres at Lancaster and Morecambe town halls will both close on the day, but books of condolence will still be available to sign between 10am and 4pm.
Salt Ayre Leisure Centre, The Storey and the city council’s museums will also be closed.
