The Winter Gardens in Morecambe will turn blue for a very good cause.
The grand old theatre on the Prom will light up for World Parkinsons Day on Saturday April 11.
World Parkinson's Day is observed annually to raise global awareness of Parkinson's disease, the fastest-growing neurological condition.
The theatre will be illuminated in blue from 8pm until midnight.
Also on the day, the Parkinson’s UK Lancaster & Morecambe local support group plan to meet at The Battery car park in Morecambe, walk to the Winter Gardens for lunch and then walk back to the Battery.
The group meets every Friday from noon to 2pm at Slyne Community Hall, Shady Lane, Slyne with Hest, Lancaster.
There they have an hour's social followed by an hour's movement class delivered by Dr Mel Brierley.
The classes are for all abilities and ages for those with Parkinson’s and their family or carers. Each session is £5.
