Crews tackle fire on top of Lancaster city centre shop

Crews tackled a fire on top of a shop in Lancaster city centre.

The fire broke out on Thursday night and involved a generator on top of a commercial building in James Lane off Penny Street.

No injuries were reported.

Four fire engines from Lancaster, Carnforth, Bolton-le-Sands and Morecambe were called out at 8.17pm. They were on site until just before 10pm.
