The Lancaster MP has completed a 10K run in Morecambe to help raise funds to help transform a children's playground on a housing estate.
Cat Smith took on the Morecambe 10k on Sunday, running with Yak Patel, Chief Executive of local volunteer support organisation Lancaster District CVS.
Ms Smith announced on her Facebook page that they had raised £900 for Ryelands playground, and at time of writing this has risen to more than £1000 on the Just Giving page.
"Great seeing so many people out running on the prom in Morecambe today, but special shout out to Jenny and the kids from Ryelands with their handmade sign cheering us on," she said.

Ms Smith was asked by Ryelands Residents' Assocation to help them raise awareness of their plans to transform the playground on the estate.
The new playground will cost £150,000 and provide new play equipment, new surfacing, and benches and planting to create a welcoming, natural space for local children and families to relax in. Improving accessibility is also a key priority.
The Residents’ Association is applying to grant funders to raise the majority of the £150,000 but will also be doing local fundraising and taking on sponsored events to match fund and keep the momentum going.
Mr Patel said: "Creating a new playground has been a passion for the Ryelands Residents' Association for the last four years.
"During that time, local residents haven't just talked about making things better, they've been building the foundations to make it happen. Through community events, support services, activities for families and young people, and countless volunteer hours, they have brought people together and created a real sense of pride in the area."

Ms Smith joined other runners from across the area taking part in Sunday's marathon, half marathon and 10K runs in Morecambe.
