Another minor earthquake has occurred in the Lancaster and Morecambe District.
Residents in places including Heysham, Milnthorpe, Over Kellet and Carnforth reported feeling tremors from the quake on Monday morning.
The earthquake at Silverdale happened at 8.38am and measured at 2.7 magnitude, said the British Geological Survey, and follows a number of others earlier this year.
The Survey recorded a 0.9 earthquake at Silverdale on September 13.
They also said a 2.2 magnitude earthquake - at a depth of 3km - struck Silverdale at around 10.35pm on Saturday June 6.
There were two further smaller tremors recorded at 6.13pm on Sunday (June 7), at a 1.4 magnitude, and at 0.7 magnitude at 8:31pm.
There was also one on May 13 measuring 2.3 on the scale and another struck on April 12 at 0.4 magnitude.
The UK experiences around 100 earthquakes each year. A magnitude 4 earthquake occurs roughly every two years, while a magnitude 5 or above event happens every 10 to 20 years.
Residents posted on social media about their experiences of today's earthquake.
Posting on the North Yorkshire Weather Updates Facebook page, Aaron said: "Felt it in Heysham! I'm in bed off sick and the bed shuddered like I was sat by the washing machine."
Verity said: "It sounded like an explosion in Arnside."
Ritva said: "House shook in Silverdale."
And Julian posting on X said: "Felt a huge tremor then."
