Friends of The Platform have celebrated the life of a legendary comic as well as an award to a leading supporter of the venue.
The venue's Friends group held an event where they marked 125 years since the birth of the entertainer Albert Modley, who lived in Morecambe.
On the same day, they presented David Morgan, former chair of the Friends of the Platform Morecambe, with life membership in recognition of his work.
The monthly coffee afternoon on March 4 saw Debbie Cain from Morecambe Heritage Centre give a talk on the life of her grandfather Albert Modley.
She brought along a host of memorabilia including props such as a set of drums.
Albert, who was born in 1901 and died in 1979, was a star of radio, music hall, pantomime, TV and film.

Mr Morgan received his life membership in recognition of his work setting up the Friends of the Platform's loyalty and reward scheme.
The Friends of The Platform Morecambe was set up in 2024 for the benefit of, and to promote and preserve, the venue and building which is owned, operated and managed by Lancaster City Council as an entertainments centre and general community facility.
They also work alongside The Platform Morecambe, and its management team, to guarantee the future of the Grade II listed former railway station.
