Bosses at Heysham power station say there is likely to be increased noise and steam coming from the site in the coming days.
This is because two reactors are being put back online – one over the next day or so, and another at the beginning of next week.
In a statement, a spokesperson said: "We are planning to bring one of our reactors back online over the next 24 hours and another reactor is also due back online into the start of next week.
‘’Any noise is completely normal for this kind of operation, and we apologise in advance for any disruption this might cause to local residents.’’
