A Morecambe woman who won £35,000 on a TV property game show has told Beyond Radio how she will be spending her winnings.
Harriet Swan said that she now has a taste for the property market after her success on George Clarke's Flipping Fast on Channel 4.
Harriet and her fellow contestants were all given £100,000 to buy and then 'flip' (renovate) properties, then sell them. The team who made the most profit by the end of the six-part series, won the £100,000 plus any profit they had made.
She ended up making a profit of just over £35,000.
"I've definitely not spent one penny yet!" she said.
"I'm going to carry on flipping, it's given me the bug now. So I'm being sensible and I'll put it into another property."
LISTEN to Harriet Swan talking about her time on George Clarke's Flipping Fast:
Harriet appeared on the show every week for six weeks, airing at 9pm on Wednesday nights.
She filmed for the show once a week over a 14-month period, starting in April 2021 and finishing in June 2022.
Harriet said that presenter George Clarke is "so nice, he's exactly like he is on the telly".
"My mum is George's biggest fan! He went out of his way to be kind to us all, and he's so knowledgeable."
Harriet also explained how she got married to her husband Tom in the south of France at around the same time as the first episode was broadcast. They were on a mini-honeymoon in Monaco and rushed back to the hotel to watch the show on a laptop!
She also talked about her work as a match day presenter for Manchester City Football Club, the places where she filmed scenes in the local area, and her thoughts on the property market in Lancaster and Morecambe.
