Mountain rescue team called out to assist injured woman near Carnforth

The Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were called to assist an injured woman in North Lancashire this week.

They attended an incident on Monday evening to attend to an elderly lady who had slipped while walking and hurt her hip and shoulder.

The crew conveyed her on a stretcher to an ambulance.

Last week they were called to a lady who had had an incident with a horse in the Bolton-Le-Sands area.

She had sustained lower back injuries.

In a statement, the team said they wished the casualties a speedy recovery and hoped they will be back out enjoying their activities soon.
