The new Lancaster edition of the Monopoly board game goes on sale today (October 24) and all the local landmarks and organisations on the board have been revealed.
Residents were asked to vote for their favourite landmarks from the city and the surrounding area to feature on the board and now we can reveal who made the cut!
The Ashton Memorial gets to land on the top ‘Mayfair’ spot, whilst Lancaster Priory takes up occupancy on ‘Old Kent Road’ at the other end of the board.
Inbetween are the likes of Lancaster Castle, The City Museum, The Grand Theatre, Lancaster Music Festival, Lancaster Library and many more.
Beyond Radio takes a proud place on one of the Chance squares, as do charities The Olive Branch, Team Reece and St John's Hospice.
The Chance and Community Chest cards are also customised, with one sending players back three spaces for ‘getting stuck in traffic on Skerton Bridge’, another allows you to treat yourself to lunch at the Charter Market, one rewards players with the accolade of becoming ‘Mayor of Lancaster’ (if only for the duration of the game!) and on another, you can win free tickets to a Lancaster City FC match.
Fairfield Nature Reserve, Lancaster Canal, the Gregson Centre and the Arteria shop and gallery on Brock Street also feature on Community Chest cards.
The game's money is branded with Furness Building Society in Lancaster who are also on a 'Mortgage Payment' square on the board.
The front cover features photos of the Ashton Memorial, the Grand Theatre, Lancaster Castle and Firths Jewellers shop on Gage Street, to name just a few.

The MONOPOLY: Lancaster Edition hits the shops at 10am on October 24 and will be available at Waterstones, WH Smith, The Works and Ryman. The game will also be extensively available online, including at Booghe.co.uk and Amazon.co.uk
The game has been produced by Winning Moves under license from toy and games giants Hasbro..
Mr Monopoly, the game's mascot, will visit Williamson Park for the official launch on Tuesday morning.
He also came to the park to make the official announcement earlier this year.
