Roads in the Lancaster and Morecambe District to either be resurfaced or repaired over the next year have been announced.
Lancashire County Council’s cabinet has agreed a list of 19 individual schemes to be carried out as part of pre-planned highways maintenance projects across the county.
Almost £21m has been set aside for scheduled road repair jobs in the 2026/27 financial year, which will come from an overall £72m highways budget.
County Councillor Warren Goldsworthy, cabinet member for highways and transport, said:
“Lancashire residents deserve roads that are safe, reliable and repaired properly the first time.
“This £72 million programme allows us to focus on the routes people use every day, and make sure repairs last longer.
“It’s about using our limited resources to make sure the money we spend has the maximum impact on our roads – delivering value for money and helping residents feel proud of where they live.”
