The Morecambe lifeboat crew were called into action to respond to a report of a person stuck in mud.
The RNLI crew responded to a tasking request from HM Coastguard just before 4:50pm on March 8, following a 999 call reporting an individual stuck in the mud on Kents Bank, near Grange-over-Sands.
The hovercraft, the Hurley Flyer, was launched on service, crewed with their team of volunteers.
The hovercraft carried out a thorough search of the area in challenging conditions caused by dense fog alongside partner agencies, but despite these efforts, they found no sign of the individual's presence or any further evidence of the incident.
The team was subsequently stood down by HM Coastguard just after 8:10pm.
