Plans to replace the digital timetable screens at Lancaster Bus Station are in the works.
Lancashire County Council said the system will be replaced within the next financial year but are unable to confirm an exact date.
The digital screens at the city bus station have not worked for some time.
Beyond Radio contacted the county council after listeners asked when the screens - which displayed bus arrival and departure times - are likely to be fixed.
“The digital display at Lancaster Bus Station was delivered as part of a partnership between the University of Lancaster and Lancaster City Council," said a Lancashire County Council spokesperson.

"Plans are already in place to replace the system, with work scheduled to take place in the next financial year, 2026/27.
"While we’re not yet able to confirm an exact timeframe, the replacement is being programmed and will be taken forward as part of that planned investment.”
This comes as the county council has been testing digital bus timetables in parts of Morecambe and Heysham.
