Lancashire Police have made a number of arrests in Lancaster and Morecambe on suspicion of money laundering.
On Tuesday evening (March 3), officers were on patrol on the M6 when they had reason to stop a blue Audi A3.
The car was stopped in the Lancaster area, and following a search around £10,000 cash was found and seized, along with the car.
A 24-year-old woman from West Bromwich and a 27 year old man from Wednesbury were arrested on suspicion of money laundering. They are currently in custody.
Early on Wednesday morning mounted officers were on patrol when they had reason to stop a man in the Morecambe area.
Following a search, around £5,000 cash was found on the man.
Following a further search of his home address, a large amount suspected cannabis and large quantities of cash were found.
A 29-year-old man from Morecambe was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs and money laundering.
He is currently in custody.
