A schoolgirl and her teacher will take on an epic challenge to help raise money for an upgrade of their local swimming centre.
Nine-year-old India Elliott will swim a half marathon distance of 13.1 miles while Becky Townend swims a marathon of 26.2 miles, aiming to do so in the same time or less.
They are raising money for Carnforth Community Pool, where India is a member of the swimming squad and Becky is assistant manager and swimming teacher.
Here is India preparing for the challenge.

The pool has just received planning permission for an extension to the building, costing more than £100,000, which they hope to start building in May.
There are plans are to open a cafe and viewing platform along with additional storage and facilities.
The challenge will take place over February half-term, which coincides with the pool's fifth anniversary since it was taken over by a charitable trust in 2018.
India and Becky are both in the middle of 12 weeks of stamina training to help them in this mammoth challenge.
They are hoping to raise a total of £5000 in their joint effort to help towards the cost of the new extension.
Their JustGiving page can be found here.
Becky said that another young swimmer from Carnforth Community Pool, Paige Cove, raised £700 towards the pool from a sponsored swim in October 2022.
