A young star of musical theatre has won an award for playing an iconic role in 'Grease'.
Kate Bowskill won the NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association) award for Best Female Youth Performer in an Adult Production for her performance as Sandy.
Kate, 20, played the role made famous on the big screen by Olivia Newton-John in the Morecambe Amateurs' production of the hit 1950s musical at the Lancaster Grand in 2020.
She won the award at the North West NODA Awards at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool on April 29.
Kate's mum Gail is also heavily involved in local amateur dramatics, and her grandmother Joyce Warrington MBE is a renowned local dance teacher and musical theatre producer.
