Two people were taken to hospital after a road crash on Westgate in Morecambe.
A driver and passenger were injured after a collision involving two cars on Friday night.
Emergency services were called to the incident, involving a Volkswagen Polo and a Fiat, just after 11.20pm.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "The incident involved a collision between two vehicles and firefighters made the scene safe and administered first aid to two casualties.
"Crews were on scene for around an hour."
Police said that a driver and passenger were taken to hospital with broken bones and cuts and bruises.
A police spokesperson said the passenger in the Fiat was a woman in her 50s who suffered back and chest injuries.
The spokesperson said a man from Morecambe, the driver of the Volkswagen, had been arrested on suspicion of drink driving. He has been released under investigation.
