Beyond Radio presenter Mat Cook has revealed the good cause he will be supporting as part of a fundraising team taking on our '10 for 10 Trek'.
Mat will be one of the team of presenters taking part in a sponsored 10-mile walk to raise funds for 10 good causes as part of our 10th birthday celebrations.
The '10 for 10 Trek' on Sunday May 10, between our transmitter sites in Carnforth and Lancaster, is part of our 'Beyond Radio 10 for 10' celebratory year of events.
We are aiming to raise £1000 through JustGiving plus personal sponsorship money, which we will split between 10 local charities/community groups around the Lancaster and Morecambe Bay area.
Mat, who co-presents MaC on Demand on Sunday evenings and Mat Cook's Quizzical on Monday evenings on Beyond Radio, will be supporting Bundles of Joy.
Bundles of Joy is a new charity in Lancaster and Morecambe Bay, which aims to support families in need at the expensive time of the arrival of a new baby,

"I am looking forward to supporting the Beyond 10 for 10 Trek and local charities," said Mat.
"It’s great to support a new charity set up with local families in mind.
"A friend, retired head teacher and community centered person, Rose Starkey, told us about the fact there was no provision between Preston and Kendal supporting new born babies with essentials in financially difficult situations.
"Being a mother and grandmother herself and myself a dad, I appreciate the costs in starting up a family.
"So Bundles of Joy was born out of that offering that support which we can donate to with baby essentials or money which will be used to fund these essentials.
"It would be an honour to walk for these wonderful people."
Mat will join Paul Fisher, supporting Lancaster & District Homeless Action Service, Phil McGrath, who is supporting Barton Road Centre, Luke Edmondson, who is supporting Lancashire MIND, Beth Pipe, who is supporting Animal Care, and Duncan Moore, who is supporting Friends of Lancaster Cemetery, on the 10 for 10 Trek.
We will reveal more of the presenting team, and the good causes they will be supporting, very soon.

We have chosen 10 special events in the Lancaster and Morecambe Bay community to be involved in this year to help celebrate our 10th birthday.

The first of these was our involvement in Lancaster's Big Spring Clean 2026 and the second was a live broadcast from Lancaster's first ever Unsigned Festival.
Keep an eye on Beyond Radio online and our social media, and listen to Beyond Radio, for details of more '10 for 10' events.
