‘Aggressive beggar’ jailed after incident at Royal Lancaster Infirmary

Daniel Dube

A man is behind bars after being aggressive and abusive to staff at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.

Daniel Dube, 44, of no fixed address, was issued a criminal behaviour order in April due to numerous reports of anti-social behaviour, nuisance and aggressive begging.

Dube was then arrested in October after reports that he breached the order by being aggressive and abusive towards staff at the hospital.

He appeared at Blackpool Magistrates Court and pleaded guilty to the behaviour and to causing a nuisance on NHS premises, and was remanded in custody.

This week he was sentenced to 20 weeks imprisonment, some of which has been served whilst on remand.
