Three men in balaclavas broke into a North Lancashire village shop and stole almost £1,000 in cash.
The break-in happened at The Co-Op on Emesgate Lane in Silverdale at around 4.40am on April 23 when the men kicked in the front door and then broke into two cash dispensers under the till.
Detective Inspector Adie Knowles from Lancashire Police appealed for information during his regular 'Beyond the Beat' segment on Beyond Radio on Tuesday.
Det Insp Knowles (pictured below) said there had been other burglaries in Silverdale in recent months as well, leading to a police crackdown in the village.

"There has been a bit of an upturn of issues in Silverdale, over the past couple of months there has been a couple of burglaries that have occurred while people were away, people going round the back of a property smashing windows to go in for jewellery," he said.
"The Co-Op which is on Emesgate Lane on the 23rd of last month at 20 to 5 in the morning, three men turned up in balaclavas and decided to kick the front door in and forced two of the cash dispensers under the till and stole nearly £1,000.
"Some of these issues are not exclusive to Silverdale, (there have been issues in) quite a few of the rural villages in that neck of the woods and into Cumbria - Cumbria have certainly suffered with a bit of a burglary issue similar to what we've had in Silverdale, where we have been running an operation trying to (stop) these rural burglaries.
"If you do see any suspicious vehicles you don't know, people hanging around, no matter how small it might be, let your local neighbourhood policing team know."
You can call police on 101 or go to the Lancashire or Cumbria Police websites to report any issues.
