Police are appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision just north of Carnforth.
The incident occurred on Saturday the 17th December, on the A6070 at Burton, around 10.30am.
The collision involved a Skoda Roomster and a Mercedes Sprinter Van.
Police, HeliMed, Fire and Ambulance attended the scene.
The front seat passenger of the Skoda, 41-year-old Helen Wolfendale from Holme, was airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital. She died on the 23rd of December.
The driver of the Skoda, a 43-year-old man from Holme was airlifted to Preston hospital. He remains in hospital in a critical condition.
Two children under the age of ten were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it or anyone with dashcam footage of the vehicles driving prior to or the the collision.
