An appeal is underway to find the owner of a disused boat that’s causing issues off the coast at Morecambe.
The vessel (pictured) has sunk into the sands in Morecambe Bay, opposite Emmanuel Church.
Attempts to find the owner have so far been unsuccessful.
A spokesperson for Lancaster City Council said: ‘’It has started to break up, and is at risk of impacting the local environment - from polluting water to affecting marine ecology.
‘’We've been unable to track down the owner, but we'd like to get in touch with them.
‘’So, if you are the owner, or have any information, we would like to hear from you.’’
Any information passed on to the council will be treated in confidence.
Details can be provided to environmentalhealth@lancaster.gov.uk
