A bus driver and former Morecambe schoolteacher has won a UK-wide award for customer service.
Alan Main received the Customer Champion Excellence award for 2024 from his employers, bus company Stagecoach.
Alan was presented with the award at a ceremony at the Transport Museum in London after being nominated by a colleague. He had been on a shortlist of five nominees from across the country.
He became a bus driver in 2019 after previously working as a teacher, including for the last 27 years of his career at Lancaster Road Primary School in Morecambe.
Alan, who lives in Scale Hall, said he "loves meeting people and serving my community".
Here is Alan's award.

Alan also writes books about his experiences on the buses around Lancaster and Morecambe, to raise funds for local dementia group 'Lyrics and Lunch' run by his wife Jeanette.
