A by-election will be held for the Lancaster City Council seat in Warton following the resignation of its councillor.
Adrian De La Mare, who served as a Conservative councillor in Warton, has stepped down.
A by-election will be held on Thursday September 8.
Anyone who is interested in standing for the vacancy should telephone the council's elections office on 01524 582905.
The deadline for submitting nomination papers is 4pm on Thursday August 11.
Any voters in the ward who want to take part in the election must have registered to vote by midnight on Monday August 22.
