Campaigners have gathered to welcome a new bus service to Morecambe described as a potential "life changer".
Members of the Lancaster District Bus Users' Group and local residents came together in Halton to welcome their new bus service to Morecambe before taking a celebratory ride to the resort.
Service 83 also links Brookhouse, Caton, Halton, Beaumont, Skerton and Torrisholme with Morecambe once an hour on Monday to Saturday.
The service is being operated by Lonsdale Buses.
Lancaster District Bus Users' Group said: "It reinstates a number of links lost following cutbacks by the county council in 2016 and Stagecoach a few years later, but is being operated as a commercial venture by the company."
They said local bus users in Halton have described the service as "a potential life changer for many people".
Buses return from Morecambe every hour at one minute past the hour until 19.31.
Lizzi Collinge, MP for Morecambe and Lunesdale, posted on her Facebook page: "Fantastic to see this new service begin which will offer reliable transport between some of our local villages and Morecambe!"
