A car has been seized by police in Morecambe investigating a spate of catalytic converter thefts.
The Morecambe Urban & Rural Task Force seized the vehicle, which they suspect has been used by offenders.
Further enquiries are ongoing, and they’re asking people to report suspicious activity around parked cars on 999 if it is ongoing.
In recent weeks there have been warnings for motorists to be vigilant after a rise in the theft of catalytic converters.
A catalytic converter is an exhaust emission control device that converts toxic gases in exhaust gas into less-toxic pollutants.
Recent incidents include the theft of one from a car parked in the Sunnycliffe Retail Park car park, Mellishaw Lane in Lancaster, earlier this month.
