A craft ale bar overlooking Morecambe Bay will be getting a new name.
Embargo on Marine Road Central in Morecambe will become The Pestle and Mortar, its new bosses have announced.
They said it would be a "brand new start, a fresh new look but all the same values" of Embargo.
It was announced in December that Nicola and Michael Kirby, who run The Dispensary on Heysham Road, had also taken over Embargo, which has now reopened after a short period of closure for redecoration and maintenance.
The Kirbys opened The Dispensary (below), in a former chemist and florist on Heysham Road, in 2023.

"Over the next few months, the outside will be having a face lift," said a post on The Pestle and Mortar Facebook page.
"Music acts, and a very special craft line up on the bar and some wines of the month, Prom Fest, Morecambe Music Festival…this is genuinely just the start.
"The Pestle & Mortar name was inspired by our lovely friends from We Love Morecambe. In our first week of opening The Dispensary back in 2023, Iain gifted us a solid brass pestle and mortar from his father’s days as a pharmacist. It has lived handsomely on the bar ever since!

"It’s now going to be taking pride of place in its new home at the former Embargo site.
"Once the new signage is finalised, we will announce a date for our opening party, so get your party hats at the ready!"
