A group set up to champion Morecambe will hold a community meeting to share ideas on how to 'support local'.
Morecambe business owners, community group organisers, photographers, creative people and councillors have been invited to the 'We Love Morecambe' meeting on January 31.
We Love Morecambe was set up by Tarnia Elsworth, from Heysham financial advisers TP Financial Solutions, and Ruth Wilkinson who runs digital marketing firm The Consult Centre on Marine Road Central.
They founded a Facebook page in 2021 to champion the town, local businesses, community and charity groups, and other Morecambe success stories.
Tarnia and Ruth are now looking to "take the community from strength to strength, and ensure that as locals we are supporting each other".
They said they have plans and ideas as to how to support local, but they want other local people's views and input too.
Tarnia and Ruth also hope to create a self-funded Morecambe promotional video showcasing what the town has to offer, and are looking for people to be part of it.
The meeting will be held at the Alhambra (formerly The Carleton) on Marine Road West on Tuesday January 31 at 7pm.
If you can help or would like to be involved, see the We Love Morecambe Facebook page.
