Crowds are expected to turn out as a convoy passes through Lancaster for the last ever tribute ride in memory of Hairy Biker, Dave Myers.
The mass ride-out, known as ‘Dave Day’, began in 2024, in honour of the TV star, who passed away at the age of 66 following a battle with cancer.
The event sees thousands of bikers ride from London to Dave’s hometown of Barrow-in-Furness in South Cumbria, raising significant funds for NSPCC Childline and other charities.
The convoy is set to arrive pass through Lancaster on the M6 northbound on Saturday lunchtime (June 20), stopping for a break at Lancaster services.
This year’s event is being branded ‘The Last Ride Home’, and will mark the final time the procession takes place, and bikers will be setting off from the Ace Cafe London and travelling north towards Cumbria.
More than £127,000 was raised for charity by the inaugural ride, with another £134,000 donated following the 2025 event. For this final ride-out, organisers are aiming to break records by raising over £150,000.
The convoy is due to arrive at Lancaster Services at 1:45pm, and depart again at 2:15pm.
