A local couple are preparing to open up their brand new coffee shop and wine bar in Heysham.
Nicola and Mike Kirby will open The Dispensary on Heysham Road later this year.
Nicola said The Dispensary will "bring something different" to Heysham and make it "more of a destination".
She previously worked at Lancaster and Morecambe College, and Mike works for a Japanese tech firm.
The Dispensary is so-named because of its location inside a former chemist.
The premises was most recently home to the Time for Flowers florist which has moved a few doors away.
The coffee shop/wine bar will be dog friendly, use locally sourced products, and Nicola said there were plans to eventually serve food including platters.
She said The Dispensary will have a "classy vibe" and will be a "nice and comfortable" hub for the local community.
Work is taking place to get the premises ready ahead of an opening date expected to be within the next two months.
