Crews tackle fire at Lancaster printing firm

Six fire engines were called to a fire at a long-established printing firm in Lancaster.

Crews were called out to Standfast & Barracks textile printing firm on Caton Road on Tuesday night.

They found a building to be well alight, extinguished the fire and were on site until 3.30am.

Six fire engines from Lancaster, Morecambe, Bolton-le-Sands, Carnforth, and the command support unit from Preston, were called to the incident.

Nobody was injured.

Standfast & Barracks, which has been running since 1924 and is known for its digital fabric printing, was open as normal on Wednesday.
