Crews tackle vehicle fire on M6 near Lancaster

Fire crews have tackled a vehicle fire on the M6 near Lancaster this afternoon.

They were called to the northbound carriageway near junction 33 just after 4:10pm. 

Three appliances from Lancaster and Morecambe stations attended the fire, which involved one vehicle. 

Firefighters used one hose reel, one thermal imaging camera, and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.

They were in attendance for one and a half hours.
