Around 10,000 people are expected to party on the Promenade at the Morecambe Coronation Carnival.
Organisers are putting the finishing touches to today's giant street party and festivities which will take place throughout the day in the town.
The weather is expected to be dry and sunny as people enjoy a coronation lunch on tables stretching potentially from the Battery to Morecambe Town Hall.
"We are expecting over 10,000 people today and the coronation parade will be a mile-long celebration of all the diverse local organisations which are at the heart of our community here in Morecambe," said Luke Trevaskis, chief executive officer of organisers Morecambe Town Council.
"Our iconic Promenade has been awash with red, white and blue all week and today will not disappoint. From Brazilian dancers to drag queens, everybody is going all out to celebrate this unique milestone in our history.
"With Eden Project on the horizon, this is a new era for Morecambe and the town is ready to open its next chapter in style."
