Young people will host a day of creativity in Lancaster as they launch their brand new youth centre in the city.
The Escape2Make Fair takes place on Saturday February 22 from 11am to 4pm.
More than 80 young people aged 11-18 have been working on creative workshops facilitated by local artists over their half-term to transform the charity's brand new space at 56 Church Street.

On Saturday, they plan to show off what they have created to visitors to the new centre - and have other entertainment planned around the city too.
Activities take place at the new Escape2Make centre, Lancaster City Museum, Lancaster Castle, Assembly Arts, the Dukes Theatre's Moor Space and in the former YMCA shop in St Nicholas Arcades. See the map below:

The young people have been writing and learning an original song to celebrate the opening of the new space, creating pieces of art to bring Lancaster’s new youth centre to life, devising a theatrical production and planning free drop-in workshops open to all.
The fair will also be visited by local musicians, circus performers, clowns, stilt walkers and so much more.
Escape2Make aims to help all 11-18 year olds from the Lancaster and Morecambe area, to escape from boredom, social media, loneliness and any pressure at school or home, by providing free creative activities.
