Police have been called to a fight in Morecambe town centre involving a group of up to 50 youths.
Some of the juveniles are believed to have travelled to Morecambe for this evening's football match between the Shrimps and York City, said police.
A Section 34 dispersal order has been put in place in the Lancaster and Morecambe area following reports of disorder.
This covers Morecambe town centre, Westgate and part of the West End of Morecambe and Lancaster city centre one way system, the route to the train station and station itself with the order preventing people congregating there.
Police were called at around 4pm today to a report of a fight involving approximately 40-50 juveniles– some of whom did not live locally.
The order was put in place at 5pm to prevent further acts of disorder and runs until 11.59pm on Saturday.
A police spokesperson said there will be patrols in the area throughout the night to ensure that no further acts of disorder occur, and enquiries are ongoing into offences which were committed.
A Section 34 dispersal order empowers police to direct people to leave a specified area for up to 48 hours to prevent disorder.
