A year of events is under way to celebrate 150 years of a Lancaster church.
St Paul's Church in Scotforth will hold a series of events to commemorate serving the community since 1876.
This includes a celebration concert to be held at St Paul's Parish Hall on Scotforth Road this Saturday, February 28, from 2pm.
Admission is free but donations are welcome, with 50 per cent of profits going to the church, and 50 per cent going to three chosen charities for the 150th anniversary year - St John's Hospice, The Olive Branch and Scot4All.
The concert day will feature the Jubilate Singers, spoken word performers, the women's fellowship, Hala Pantry, the gardeners, Fun Church and more.
A vast array of different events will be held over the 12 months including heritage exhibitions and talks, updating history documents and making them available, church tours, concerts, drama productions, auctions and fundraising events, walks, art exhibitions, gala dinner, a pilgrimage to follow the journey of St Paul, and initiatives with Scotforth St Paul's school and other local groups.
The church began its 150th anniversary celebrations on Sunday with a Service of Celebration, led by the Rt Rev Philip North, Bishop of Blackburn, joined by past clergy and their families.
