Morecambe Football Club has been recognised for the quality of its events experience at the 2022 Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards.
The Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards celebrate the ‘off pitch’ successes of specialist events and hospitality teams from football and rugby club venues across the UK.
The Shrimps’ Events Manager, Jodie Assitt, won the Outstanding Contribution Award at the event, while the Club was awarded Bronze in the Matchday Hospitality Award – Small Stadium category (up to 1000 hospitality seats).
Jodie said: “I would like to thank everyone from our team.
‘’2021 has been a challenging year for every one and it’s great that our input can have such a huge impact on the Covid-19 pandemic. Thank you once again and up the Shrimps!”
The prestigious event, sponsored by Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company, was hosted place at Anfield Stadium, home to Liverpool Football Club. Around 400 guests attended to represent their teams in conference and events, matchday hospitality, chef teams, public catering, operational departments and senior management.
The event is organised by Stadium Experience annually, and recognises the efforts and dedication shown by the catering, conference and events teams at every football and rugby stadium across the UK. Since the awards programme began, around 450 awards have been presented to the very best in the business. For 2002, over 75 football and rugby clubs were nominated for awards.
Stadium Experience Chair Person Collette Salmon, commented: “Every year we go all out to showcase that stadia across the UK are at the top of their game when it comes to both hospitality and events. After an extremely challenging two years, this has never been more important. Our member venues are always looking for new and innovative ways to deliver above and beyond customer expectations – Whether on a match day or on a non-match day.
‘’This year’s awards evening was a fantastic celebration of all of this hard work, and a key milestone in bringing everyone back together to mark the 15th annual awards event, as well as the 20th Anniversary of Stadium Experience. Huge congratulations to all of this year’s worthy winners.”
