Two drivers were taken to hospital after a crash on the M6 near Carnforth.
Two fire engines from Morecambe and Carnforth were called to the collision between a car and an HGV at 8.15am on Saturday.
The crash happened between Junction 35 and 36.
"Fire service personnel extricated one casualty from a vehicle and handed them into the care of North West Ambulance Service," said a Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson.
"Crews were in attendance for 90 minutes."
Cumbria Police said they were called just after 8:10am after reports of a collision between a car and an HGV on the M6 just past Burton Services.
"The drivers of both vehicles attended hospital to be checked over," said a police spokesperon.
"There were no obvious/serious injuries reported."
