An elderly man was hit with a wooden shutter after being confronted by a group of youths while walking home in Morecambe.
Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after the serious assault on Brendjean Road in the town at around 1am on Saturday May 6.
A group of youths confronted the elderly man as he was walking home and one struck the man on his arm with a wooden shutter.
