Emergency services tackle blaze at Carnforth Railway Club

Firefighters tackled a huge blaze at the former Railway Club in Carnforth last night.

Five crews from Morecambe, Lancaster, Carnforth, and Kendal attended the property on Warton Road, with the fire involving a quantity of waste inside the derelict building.

Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, two positive pressure ventilation units, and breaking-in tools to extinguish the fire. They were in attendance for approximately fifty minutes.

No details have been released about if the fire is believed to be deliberate or accidental.
